Jessie serves as Partner in Brushfire’s Washington, DC office. As the daughter of a local elected official, she spent her early childhood in front of voters, going to parades, putting up yard signs, and attending local Democratic Club meetings. It wasn’t until her first race after college when she was working for Senator Jean Carnahan in 2002 that she realized she had been knocking on doors her entire life. 

Prior to founding Brushfire, she has worked on races across the country. From Alaska to Florida and several cities and states in between. Her political experience is at all levels of electoral politics and advocacy. Presidential staff in Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Mayor’s races in Philadelphia, Houston, and Nashville. Statewide, Congressional, and Senate races in New Mexico, Alaska, Virgina, Missouri, and Louisiana. With sixteen years in politics, the list goes on and on. 

Jessie is a graduate of the University of Missouri and lives in Washington, DC with her cat, Moses.
